One of the strongest points about blockchain is that it contains the decentralised open nature that is lacking in traditional finance and governments. To those who don’t know, Falcon 9 is a rocket with a very important mission. It is the first orbital class rocket to ever be reused after the first launch. It was intended to enable launches to Low-Earth orbit, Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit while also allowing for transfers of crew and cargo vehicles to the International Space Station. In layman’s terms, it reduces the difficulty and costs of repeat launches into space which is useful for different tasks. At first glance this might not seem like much, but if one were to look at the long standing history of space travel, they would come to understand the significance that Falcon 9 promises.

Not too long ago, there was the Apollo program (Aptly named after the god of the sun, truth, and knowledge) which jump-started humanity’s love for the vast expanse above. So much so, it brought about a space race between nations. During this race, the Apollo program faced many failures, most notably the Apollo 13 mission. Still, it had countless successes that came about including the safe return of the astronauts of the Apollo 13 mission. Space itself became a household topic, and many dreams of being among the stars were born. The unfortunate side of it however is that these missions and programs were largely run by and funded by the state which meant that many folks would never be able to reach for the stars.

Herein lies the potential and promise of Falcon 9, and everything its successes entails. Since it is designed to be a reusable rocket, it reduces both the costs and the difficulty of space travel significantly. Essentially making commercial space travel more than just a dream. For the first time in history, people will have a chance to grasp the heavens. Once Falcon 9 launches Starlink into space, there will be a new basis for intergalactic cooperation enabling everyone to get in touch with one another as it provides internet in remote areas at a low cost. This dynamic shift from a government and politically driven perspective to a more open commercial friendly perspective to benefit both the state and the people is groundbreaking.

This is where the Falcon 9 community token comes into play. F9 symbolises this vision and mission. It is the rocket within an ecosystem that enables the countless and infinite possibilities that lie right in front of us. These decentralised on-chain tokens are a direct reflection of what’s happening right now in space: binding together to allow great development and innovation. As we develop critical utility to the future of decentralised space exploration and cooperation, we will see these dreams and hopes come to fruition right on the blockchain.
