Astrology Jan 24th 2022. Determination.

Mars has now moved into the sign of exaltation, Capricorn, until March 5th and we start to feel the determination and push to build and activate the changes we are working on throughout this period of alchemical change. Confidence is high but so are the more aggressive tendencies. Mars is also currently out of bounds until Feb 10th so is acting more erratically than usual and we also feel the crash.

Mars is the Tower card in the Tarot which is the destruction and restructuring of old forms and, in an almost perfect storm, Mars joins retrograde Venus (values, money, relationships), Pluto (death and rebirth), Juno (sacred marriage and women and children), and Vesta (devotion, focus, and commitment) in Capricorn, the sign of the man-made structures we live under in society. The stock market fell wildly this morning as an example of what’s happening with this destructive purging energy. Mars is speeding up the current destructuring of forms that no longer work. Mars will conjunct all these planets on his journey through the sign.

Many have been predicting collapse of these systems for some time but I am not a financial astrologer so I have no idea how low this can go. I will only say that this period is going to be challenging and especially wild while Mars is out of bounds. And it’s about more than the stock market!

Unfortunately the war drums are also likely to increase as controlling powers butt heads but my hope is that Venus stationing direct on the 29th and Mars connecting with her on Feb 16 and Mar 6 will bring some resolution. As always, we have free will.

Pluto also conjuncts Juno today at the degree Venus stationed retrograde at back on Dec 18th 2021, suggesting that we are being shown that the structures we have created do not support all members of society or our interconnectedness.

Mars and Pluto are also the joint rulers of Scorpio and early on the 25th we have the ‘crisis in consciousness’ last quarter Scorpio Moon, squaring the Aquarius Sun. As we enter the last week of the lunar cycle we find a purging energy. Things are falling away, falling apart, and, yes, collapsing.

Sometimes things have to fall apart to be rebuilt.
